History of the world Rivelon [the second part of the history of the Divinity series]

The world of good role -playing game is always replete with various stories and interesting facts. World of games Divinity, Rivelon, no exception. Its story is interesting, although it is replete with all kinds of gaps and inaccuracies. The history of the world Rivelon has more than ten thousand -year history, in which, unfortunately, the extremely few exact dates. And that is why today we will go through only the most important of them, by events, which one way or another had an influence on the development of Rivellon.

Empire and lost centuries (8800-4 old https://london-eye-casino.uk/ calculus)
Rivelon is quite the old world, for the first time written sources appear in 8800 of the old calculus. Then Rivelon was very different from his modern one, once he was a single empire, led it Sigurd – a wise and talented emperor. Unfortunately, all people are mortal – Emperor Sigurd died, leaving a lot of children behind. But he was not at all stupid and to prevent internecine wars, he shared his empire between children. Alas, this did not save the country from the feud, a bloody civil war broke out in Rivellon. By the way, in those ancient times, the world was much more developed and had technologies that the current residents of Rivellon could not even dream. As a result, a fiery knight came to power – an illegitimate son of Sigurd and part -time dragon. He chose the whole empire with a harsh grip, thereby providing it for many years of development and well -being.
After the story of Rivellon abruptly breaks off and is covered with darkness for many centuries, it is only known that it was in these lost centuries that the brutal civil war of magicians took place, and that at this time the Sigurda Palace empire, and the technology was lost.

Sunrise and fall of chaos (100 years of new calculus)
Demons have always played an important role in the life of Rivellon, but if earlier they tried to act secretly, then in the 100th year of the new calculus they tried to do this openly. It was then that the demon calling himself the lord of Chaos (well, or just chaos), invaded Rivelon and for many years conquered him. The lord of Chaos drank a lot of blood from Rivellon’s lands, but even he was eventually broken, the dwarf, the army alone defeated the powerful enemy. This victory for many centuries has consolidated special glory and respect for the dwarves.
The second sunrise and the fall of chaos (611 years of the new calculus)
However, the victory over the demon on the lands of Rivellon did not mean the death of the demon at all. The demon returned to his dimension, raised his strength and gathered the army. A century later, the lord of Chaos again invaded Rivelon, this time his accomplice became the insidious magician Ulting. The magician opened the portal to the demon, and chaos again entered the lands of Rivelon. In those years, the inhabitants of the world had practically no chance, but thanks to the victim of the seven invasion, he was discontinued, and the terrible demon was defeated. The envoys of the seven gods (from each race according to the messenger) donated themselves for the sake of victory over him. Unfortunately, his legacy remained, after his death, a blade of lies fell into people, the powerful weapon giving immortality, the Duke Stefan Ferol and his squire Ralph left the battlefield with him.

In fact, it is impossible to kill the lord of chaos on Rivelon land, so he rebelled again and restored his forces. He was preparing for the invasion, but this time he changed the way to achieve his goal, now he was going to reborn into a man and already manipulating everyone. This time, magicians from the black circle (groups of magicians specializing in black and forbidden magic) became traitors). Traitors practically reached their goal and began to resettle the demon. But two vigilant people, Zandalor and Lucian, revealed the plan of the Black Circle. Lucian passed the ritual of the seven gods and received their strength, this is how the elected was born. Having gained strength, he interrupted all the elders of the Black Circle, and met with their leader – a demon of lies. The demon warned the chosen that the process is already irreversible, the lord of the chaos would be again revived. He did not lie, on the altar lay a newborn, struck by a vicious soul. The elected killed the demon, but could not kill the child, thereby left the living force, which almost destroyed Rivelon in the future.

Damian’s youth and his imprisonment in Nemesis (1218 – 1233 years of new calculus)
Lucian took a small child to him and raised him as his son, not knowing the terrible forces lurking in a guy. And the young man also did not know about these forces, until Damian met Igrain. Igraina was the daughter of the necromancer of the Black Circle, and she, sent by her father to seduce Damian, became friends with a young man, immediately fell in love with him. Igraina answered Damian’s feelings, but besides this, she quietly developed the forces dormant in him. At first they were practiced by simple spells, but gradually plunged into the forbidden magic. Lucian for a long time did not notice the evil influence of Igraina, until once he received evidence of her connection with the necromancer of the black circle. The chose in her forehead asked her about this, and she honestly replied that she helps the necromancer arouse the demon in Damian. After this vile recognition, Lucian deprived Igrain of his head and it was at that moment that Damian burst into the room in which Lucian had just killed his beloved. He immediately uttered the Skkov spell and tied himself up with the newly killed Igrane, leaving it thereby on the threshold between life and death. Before someone could react, Damian disappeared. After that, the elected realized that now Damian obeyed the lord of chaos and became his projection. The elected now understood that his sworn enemy rebelled again. While Lucian and Damian gathered their armies. Since Zandalor and Lucian did not know about the consequences of the scoop of souls, Igraina’s body was embalmed, and not burned as customs required. For several days, the black circle and the fading of the chosen fought, but no one could win. Damian, however, thought only about Lucian: his eyes were covered with a veil of hatred, the only thing he could think about was revenge. Lucian was ready for this, he took advantage of his son’s enthusiasm and lured him into a trap. Blinded by rage, Damian willingly went into it and was immediately sealed in Nemesis, in the world of demons. The elected returned to Rivelon, delighted that the problem that tormented him for a long time was finally solved.

Once in the unfamiliar world, Damian did not sit back, he began to multiply his power and strength until he had finally revenge: he helped the deceived Paladin free himself from a prison dimension and returned with him to Rivelon.

Climbing Damian and the fall of the chosen one (1238 – 1300 of the new calculus)
Despite the long imprisonment in Nemesis, Damian could not forgive his father and still longed for his death. Returning, Damian immediately joined the battle with Lucian. The war changed the face of Rivellon: the years of the continuous war changed the world: where the mountains once stood, desert plains were now lying, and the picturesque once fertile lands were swept away and replaced by gear hills. But the endlessness of war and constant death did not break the will of the inhabitants of Rivelon. The reason for this optimism was the Lucian alliance and powerful fiery knights (dragons). The fiery knights were the last of those who owned dragon magic and knew how to turn into dragons. The battle between father and son was endless, none of the parties could win. During one of the battles, the chosen one was treacherously killed, one of the fiery knights stuck a knife in the back of an unsuspecting Lucian. Because of this betrayal, Rivelon rebelled both against enemies and former allies, now the inhabitants of this world were in the siege. However, Zandalor was still able to rally the army and did not let the army die. Damian, who saw that revenge was happening, ordered his army to retreat. Now he was not up to power, he had other things on his mind. The betrayal of fiery knights and the death of the elect also did not go unnoticed, people founded the Order of Dragons Hunters and soon destroyed almost all dragons, only one dragon remained alive, and his name was called Talan.

But Talan could not hide for a long time, soon she was tracked down and mortally injured. But on the deathbed, in the last seconds of her life, she was still able to transfer all her strength to the young hunter for dragons, thereby continuing the work of her life and making the young man the last fiery knight. From this moment on, Talana’s goal was the goal of a young hunter. Meanwhile, Damian made up for the missed, resurrected his beloved, with whom he was inextricably linked and who granted him eternal life. In the process of achieving his goal, the young man finds out that the traitor who killed Lucian was under the control of Damian, and that all this hunt for dragons was adjusted to Damian himself. However, it turned out that the fiery knight was not the last whom Damian deceived, the dragon hunter himself was soon also deceived. Igraina, who introduced him to Talana, lured him to the underworld to resurrect her. Thinking that the resurrection of Igraina will kill Damian, the dragon hunter resurrected the girl. But having revived the girl, the hunter immediately discovered himself in terms of hypnoerotomachia, the dimension in which there is neither time nor space. Damian knew the story of Rivellon and knew the legend of the Sigurd empire. He investigated the technology used by magicians to unite the empire many thousands of years ago and tried to repeat it, but the result of his magic was still far from what was in the legends of the former empire. However, the fact that there was already enough to create flying fortresses and they became a force that could no longer be taken into account, and it was they who were used against Alerota, the capital of people. To protect the city, Zandalor took desperate measures: he created a shield around the city, but for its creation he had to weaken the magic of the prison of Behrelin, a magician imprisoned in a dungeon near Alerota since ancient times. Behrilin, was powerful, he knew everything that was happening around, but he could not free himself, and therefore, as soon as the magic was weakened, he immediately went into the plan of hypnoerotomachia in his mental form. He discovered there the last fiery knight and living Lucian. Behrilin made a deal with the knight, he asked for his liberation, and in return offered the freedom to the chosen and the eyes of the patriarch, a magical object that he could destroy the magical armada of flying fortresses. As soon as the fiery knight escaped, he was looking for a way to free the sharpened magician from the past. Having gained the force necessary for the destruction of the armada, the knight took a counterattack and defeated the enemy. Then he met Igrain and Behrelin and after a small conversation, a battle happened between them, in which evil was defeated. The elected was released, and together with a fiery knight they went home to the capital, where people had already begun to celebrate victory. However, Damian was still alive, which means the battle is not over yet ..

Conclusion
This is where my story about Rivelon’s history is a complete end, but the history of this world does not end at all, and therefore, perhaps, someday I will return to it again. Moreover, very soon we have to return to Rivelon, because this year Divinity is released: Original Sin 2. In it, the world will appear before us in the thousands of two hundred years of the new calculus, shortly before the events that occurred in Beond Divinity.
